These are set by each individual Cruise Line and are distributed among the the hard working crew members that provide you constant service during your voyage.
Please remember if you are upset at the cruise line don't take it out on the Staff.
Although these are the recommended Gratuities it is still customary to give a little extra to individual staff members that you feel deserve it. Your Stateroom attendant or
your waiter will definitely appreciate a little extra bonus
.
